T4B Photowiederstände
Tach,

I have seen 10-12 defective T4's over the years - but I've never seen any with broken LDR's, only with shorted or occasional open-circuit EL-foil light.
When the EL-foil shorts out (most common, and easily measured with an Ohm-meter), it is often possible to revive it by giving it a good high-current shock (e.g. 24Vac from a 2-5A transformer) - this often burns out the area that is shorted, and lets rest of the surface work as intended. It may sound a bit violent, but heey - we don't have anything to loose here, do we? :-)
