Omfg, what a great built. :notworthy:

What are those 990 used for? Did you balance and debalance with That chips? It´s hard to see from the pictures.

To ALL..thanks for the kind words. This project was kind of a gamble...when I started it I did not know if everything was going to work & fit, and part costs were high  which actually was a good motivation for me to finish it all up...

Hi Roland
stunning, unbelievable. Did you do the pcbs on your own? Now you don´t need your Sony Desk anymore ..
regards
Bernd

Yes, this was my first PCB design...quite overwhelming for a first try I have to say...
Sony desk is gone now. Sold it to some Greek tv station. They had it picked up from my place and crated. Shipping costs went trough the roof LOL.

This mixer basically reflects how I used the Sony...no EQ or leveling, just summing and inserting analog hardware on the groups and watch the cosy VU's. The VU's + buffer pcb I used are actually from a Sony mxp2900 ...bought a spare meter bridge once...

Thanks Volker.

Those caps are original from a Neumann switchbox.
I asked Frank many times but so far he's not been able to do this...or does he?
The SMD switch is for the MS (mid side) engage switch...so quite close.. ..IN switch is for mono, would like to have that one changed.

And tell me, what does ABH. SIMUL. means? I used it for monitor in switch...

he does it quite well, my guess is he doesn't like to do it :D
[shipped 100 blank caps for engraving to Frank in october 2008, still waiting ...] :D :D :D

I was near to ask what SMD is ...

ABH is easy: Abhören (listen)
SIMUL. I don't have any idea ...

Ah, I see...I'll stick with ABH. SIMUL. then...
