Auch gut.

Wobei 5W für die Funktion übertrieben sind,

mir reichen die Neons immer noch
wer genau ablesen muss wie viel gainreduction da jetzt genau ist hat keine Ohren

Huch? Der Text ist nicht von mir. :?

To continue in English:

I hate Banzai, they needed 1 week to handle my order and I still got this:
4 x #17728. Solen Fast, 0,1uF 630V are backordered and will follow in a separate shipment (free of costs).
I love Tube-Town (ordered Sunday, got the 6L31s aka EL90s on Tuesday).

Tja, so ist das, wenn man so viel DIY betreibt und Geräte nachbaut - jetzt gibts einen Klon von dir, der selbständig im Forum postet!

Gibts für den schon ne BOM? Wo kann ich die Platine kaufen?

Very silent in here, maybe the German drives the others away.

I've nearly finished my PCB but did solder the 7805 standing up. So: How much cooling does it really need?
So far I've only seen pictures where it's connected with the case. :?
I mean it's only used in the relais, right?

phantom power

Anybody added phantom power to their DLA2A? Any interesting ways to derive the 48v without an extra transformer? Has this already been discussed?
My unit is just about ready to go, just waiting on the optos and want to add phantom and perhaps input tranny options. ATM I have the higher ratio Sowters.

cheers Greg

I'm new to this forum, hello everybody

I just bought a pcb + psu from Volker, i think i have read thru the whole thread, and i still have a few questions to you experts :
1 - what kind of meter do i need ? Is the 1176-type ok ?
2 - the bom link on page 1 is ok for the latest pcb ?
3 - i'll use Edcor XSM series transformers, in and out, (sowter is too expensive right now...).10k/600k for output and the 10k/10k for input. I believe there is a mod or at least some values to be changed, but i didnt find any info...

Thanks in advance
Alex

Welcome Alex!

1. any standard VU meter will work, 1176-type is ok
2. I think the link doesn't work anymore, and the BOM might be a little old. however, nothing changed between the PCB revisions
3. nothing to change or mod

Thanks a lot !
Did you try the Edcors, do you think they are a good choice ?
I have read good and not so good about them...

No, I didn't try Edcors in my D-LA2A, but have seen many people using it.
They are fine for the money. The only problem is there (non existing) quality control,
quite a few people are receiving broken transformers.

Thanks a lot.
Another question about tubes:
What tubes did you guys use ?
- do i really need 6AQ5A or can i replace it with EL90 ?
- Telefunken ECC803s are super expensive, i will use EH ECC83 i guess, i read someone is using it...
Thanks
Alex

You can use the EL90, they are the same.
ECC803s are expensive, yes. However, they are the quietest.
You can use any ECC83 etc.
