Take a look at Igor (IJR)'s plasma meter project on the international forum - he has made a rather simple 15V>250V converter for that project.

I'm thinking of trying something like this to power a tube circuit in a API500-rack :-)

I sure hope they have plenty coffee to soak us all, but I don't have anything to do with the practical set-up, as we were just invited to show our products at their booth.

They told us that the opamps were for overload indication - a quick (maybe too quick ) transistor count turned out on par..

But where do they believe they can sell this? It is a most strange mixture of high-end and inexpensive manufacturing..

We (yours truly and Tim Campbell) won't have a booth at the Frankfurt Musikmesse this year - we were too late in getting our show together - but we will be at the show as guests for all three days.

Is there any way to arrange a group meeting?

I'm trying to find a "second source" for the 19" enclosures I use - my supplier recently changed to an inferior quality front panels (3mm in stead of the original 4mm aluminium) which does not work well in our production.

Could be a problem in the "pen outline" - "corners" and "line caps" should be set to rounded, so that the "nib shape" is round.. (sorry, english version software here)

When it comes down to sound quality, the quality of the electrolytics is not very critical - mostly because we have the parallel 100nF polyester capacitor on all the electrolytics carrying audio..

But yes, I'd use Panasonic FC as well if I had the choice. And they're not really expensive at all ...

Check that your +/-12V are regulating correctly. Noise when "in", but not when bypassed, points to noise in the sidechain only. This can probably only come from poor regulation of the supply for that section - which is the +/-12V lines.
